Vivo Energy donates books to Jwaneng-Mabutsane schools

Vivo Energy Botswana has through the Shell brand established a Children’s traffic school in Gaborone in partnership with Department of Roads, Transport and Safety to instil road safety education from the grass roots.  Vivo Energy Botswana also aids in the education of our children by providing renewable energy lamps in areas that are off the national electricity grid line. The solar lights have proven to be resourceful for studying. The company has donated more than 2,000 solar lights in Kalkfotein, Khwai, Nshakashogwe, Ramotswa and Dikhukhung

When giving welcome remarks on behalf of the Managing Director, the acting corporate communications manager, Khumoyame Thuso said: “Education plays an important role to everyone throughout our journey of life. As Vivo Energy Botswana, we will continually contribute to growing the academic excellence within the country as proper education by all brings equality among human beings and removes the feeling of difference”.

The guest speaker, Member of Parliament for Jwaneng-Mabutsane area Shawn Ntlhaile applauded Vivo Energy Botswana for their efforts in contributing to the education sector in our community. He encouraged the management and the teams of Vivo Energy Botswana to continue making a significant contribution to our communities in Botswana.

 When receiving the books on behalf of the Jwaneng-Mabutsane Education Office, Chief Education Officer , Mr Abram Molelowamodimo thanked Vivo Energy Botswana for their contribution and mentioned that the books will go a long way in aiding the teachers and students to produce good results.
