Both sides came into the game with a high scoring form as they managed to score 14 goals this season.

On the afternoon, Galaxy’s coach Miguel da Costa made his local coaching debut after receiving his work permit on Thursday while Rollers’ new signing,s Jackson Lesole and Mothusi Cooper made their competitive debuts for the team.

It was Popa who asked questions as early as the sixth minute as Lemponye Tshireletso broke away with pace but was denied by Ezekiel Morake on a one-on-one situation.

Five minutes later, Joel Mogorosi laid a pass for Tumisang Orebonye, who tried a curler but Morake was up to the task.

On the 15th minute, Orebonye headed Thatayaone Ditlhokwe’s cross, but the referee ruled it out for a foul. An object was immediately thrown into the pitch by supporters.

In the 26th minute, Atisang Batsi was at the end of a good interchange by Galaxy, but his effort went wide of the post.

In the 33rd minute, Batsi centred the ball for Tebogo Sembowa but the striker shoot wide. With three minutes to the break, Morake denied Mogorosi with a superb save as the teams went to the break level at 0-0.

Just seven minutes into the second half, Orebonye played a one-two with Mogorosi but the striker’s final product went over the bar.

Popa were unable to break the opponent’s defence with central midfielder, Lebogang Ditsele shielding the back line very well.

Frustration seemed to take its toll on the players as the tempo of the game went down with chances reduced.

Popa nearly got the winning goal with seven minutes remaining.

Tshireletso’s long range effort missed the goal by a whisker. Five minutes later, Tshireletso laid a through ball for substitute Bogosi Nfila but the latter’s effort was saved by Morake as the two teams played for their third consecutive draw in the league games. “It was good match, well divided. I think they were good in the first half and we were good in the second half.

We created more chances in the second half.

We have always been good in the second half. I am happy, with three games played, seven points and 10 goals.

We did not concede, I am happy, this is a marathon and we are on a good track,” da Costa said after the game while his counterpart Nikola Kavazovic refused an interview, accusing the media of misquoting him.
