MyFoodness is a local food ordering and delivery app, which accords customers an opportunity to order and pay for their favourite meals from different restaurants through smartphones.

Both companies announced they are taking a staggered approach to the rollout of KFC branches on MyFoodness app starting with the Railpark branch. The rest of the branches, which have been pre-selected for delivery, will follow shortly. Other locations, Francistown and Maun, will follow suit in the months to come.

According to KFC general manager, Wayne Thorresson, this is their way of responding to the market demands adding that they would be empowering a young entrepreneur in the process.

“We spent quite a bit of time with the MyFoodness team planning this launch, both from a technical and operational view point. As KFC, we are ready to respond to and fully serve the local market demands on food delivery.

“We are pleased to have found a local partner, MyFoodness, which is made up of a strong team that is focused not only on technology and delivery logistics, but also on service excellence, learning fast and continually improving on their offerings,” says Thorresson.

The founder of the app, Boi Kgathi-Rasmussen said online food-delivery platforms such as MyFoodness are expanding choice and convenience, allowing customers to order from a wide array of restaurants with a single tap of their mobile phone.

“We are excited about this partnership with KFC. Consumers want convenience and through this partnership, we are bringing the KFC food they crave, directly to their doorstep. In general, that is the business we are in as MyFoodness. We provide convenience to customers through a combination of technology and logistics,” says Kgathi-Rasmussen.

To order KFC through MyFoodness app, one has to download the app on Goggle Play Store for Android users or Apple App Store for IOS users. Once downloaded, there is a quick profile registration step that is adding mobile number, email address and delivery address.

From there, users can browse menus and place their order. The payment process on the app is cashless. Users can pay via Debit card or Credit card. There is no exchange of cash between the MyFoodness delivery staff, the restaurant, or the customer.
