Letlhogonolo Moswaane is facing two counts of obtaining by false pretences.

When Letlhogonolo appeared before Magistrate Lebogang Kebeetsweng on Tuesday for case management conference, he admitted the statements of other witnesses in the matter save for those of the investigating officer and one other witness.

After he made his admissions, Kebeetsweng set the matter for trial on February 25 next year. Moswaane is currently out on bail.

Letlhogonolo’s current brushes with the law started after he was funded by the then Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC) to start a number plate printing business.

After he was funded, the state alleges he, with intent to defraud, obtained P39,000 from Thabo Joel under the pretext that he was selling a number plate machine to Joel while knowing the same to be false on June 28, 2015 at Block 1.

The state also alleges that the junior Moswaane between April and June 2015 also at Block 1, obtained P50,000 from Mpho Letlole under the pretext that he was selling the same number plate machine he sold to Joel to Letlole again while knowing the same to be false.
