When addressing some members of the public in his area during a donation to the underprivileged by the Shadow of God International Ministries, Mmolotsi urged churches to come together and pray against GBV.

He said that the country is affected by an alarming rate of GBV cases in many households because it is considered a private issue, but rather it should be treated as a community matter.

Mmolotsi further stated that in most cases, statistics show that males are the ones who are abusing their female partners in large numbers.

“Please let us pray for our men because they are killing our children, mothers and sisters.  Some men use their   muscularity to abuse women,” a clearly worried Mmolotsi said.

He added that God gave men strength so that they protect women rather than inflicting harm on them.

He indicated that God created females as beautiful creatures, which need to be nourished, loved and cherished.

Mmolotsi also added that women are the pillars of the nation.

He mentioned that the community should work together to fight against GBV in order for males and females to stay together in peace and harmony in the community.  Mmolotsi also warned women in turn against abusing males.
