Tragic loss of two BMD leaders

This is just one of the many travels, many journeys they had dedicated their lives to. These two Mks have since the formative stages of the BMD, been the pillar of our mobilisation.
The deceased are; Mk. Mareledi Heben who was BMD’s NEC Member and Mk. Effie Bontsibokae who was the Deputy Secretary General of the BMD Women’s League and Member of the NEC.
The two formidable women were with other 10 cadres of the Movement who were as a result of the tragic road accident, admitted for injuries and later discharged and are healing physically.
The 10 Bakaulengwe are working on healing emotionally at their various homestead around the country. We are with them.
The BMD did on the same day (05/09/2018) send a delegation comprising the vice president Dr. Tlamelo Mmatli, national chairperson Mk. Nehemiah Modubule, Policy Education Secretary Mk. Moses Ntwaagae and the Mobilisation Secretary, Mk. Moeteledi Senkhu to visit the family of Mma Moeteledi Heben in Serowe as per appropriate procedure, and to begin a conversation on funeral proceedings.
The BMD has also sent a delegation comprising the National Organising Secretary Mk. Freddie Ramodise and the Political Education Secretary Mk. Moses Ntwaagae to Mokobaxane to meet with the family of Mk. Effie Bontsibokae as appropriate on September 6, 2018.
Both two (2) funeral arrangements of our fallen cadres are yet to be completed. And we shall continue to provide updates as appropriate. These are women who stood with the aspirations of this nation to their last breath.
Below is the initial reaction of our leader, president of the BMD; Mk. Sidney Pilane of the tragedy that has made us sombre;
“Tragic is the news of the accident and of those Bakaulengwe who were injured in it. May they recover soon. Unspeakably tragic in it is the passing of Bakaulengwe; Mareledi Heben and Effie Bontsibokae and the baby the latter carried. Only God knows and understands, why what happens does and when and why it happens the way it does.
Ours is, even as we mourn their loss, to thank HIM for their lives and great things they did in our lives and for our Movement and country, and that HE recieves our Bakaulengwe barona into HIS abode of Glory and give them a rest full of the unimaginable peace only HIS prescience can give, and further that HE raise them in great glory on the day the trumpet shall sound.
They will, whence they have gone, enjoy re-union with Mk. Gomolemo Motswaledi, our leader who showed us the way and ensured its comfort. I, on behalf of the BMD, and on my own behalf, extend to their families, their friends, their Bakaulengwe and all they leave behind our deepest condolences and ask that they maybe be comforted during their time of grief.
