Go Siame by DJ King was one of the songs which ruled the airwaves over the holiday season and many did not even know it was done by a local artist.

Real name, Kabelo Motlhankana, DJ King’s Go Siame was up there with South African hits that made people lose sleep during the holidays. It is a fun, danceable and bubbly track that can get you emotional and hyped up at the same time.

The talented upcoming songbird, Rittar did the vocals and also did justice to DJ King’s production.  The song title translates to ‘It’s Alright’ and the hit track was even nominated for the 2016 BOMU (Botswana Musicians Union) awards in the best single category. DJ King did not snatch the best DJ award despite being nominated but that did not derail him from the job at hand.

After realising the impact the song had made for his brand, the man from Serowe started a countrywide tour launch of Go Siame last month in Jwaneng.  DJ King told Showbiz that the main launch would be held in Serowe on March 31, 2017.  He said he is launching the song now because during the festive season people were enjoying the track and did not have time for much.

“Now with this tour we want to let people who didn’t know that we are the brains behind Go Siame,” he said. He said since releasing the track he has been receiving a lot of positive feedback. DJ King said the track was released for free download because they wanted to get mileage.  He said he expected the feedback because he applied a lot of energy to each project.

“I promised people an album, but at the moment I will assess the situation depending on the market,” he highlighted. DJ King said he would be alongside Rittar during the entire tour. The tour dates for Go Siame launch are February 24 in Orapa, March 3 in Gaborone, March 24 in Mahalapye, March 31 in Serowe (Main Launch), April 1 in Selebi Phikwe, April 28 in Francistown and the final leg is on April 29 in Tutume.
