He beat Mmoloki Thipe of Prisons as well as George Molwantwa of BMC to the prestigious award.

Mohammed’s achievements in the past year included getting a silver medal at the Africa Championships, which were held in Cameroon.  He also represented the country at the World Championships in Germany.

Aratwa Kasemang of UB walked away with the Female Boxer of the Year award, warding off a challenge from both Keamogetse Kenosi of DTCB and Gorata Morwe of Gantsi Boxing Club. 

Kasemang scooped a gold medal in the national championships and bronze medal at the Senior Africa Championships held in Congo.  Promising female boxer of the year award went to Tshepaone Wowanga while Brian Galelemogwe walked away with the promising male boxer award. Wowanga was nominated alongside other promising boxers, Onkgotse Jane of Gantsi and Lone Selelo. Galelemogwe on the other hand beat Treasure Moremi and Tshepang Kapinga.

Former national team boxer, France Mabiletsa was named the best administrator.  Sam Kareng beat Lone Batsalelwang and Kabo Garebone for the referee of the year award.  Godfrey Kablay scooped the judge of the year award.  He was nominated together with Immortal Kgosiyang and Gaolefufa Othamile. Lechedzani Luza walked away with the coach of the year award while Tsholofelo boxing club was named the affiliate of the year.
