DIS finally appoints PR officer

 

Dated September 11, 2018 the media release was curiously marked ‘Confidential’ in bold red capital letters. 

This is the first time the DIS has appointed a public relations officer ever since the organisation’s inception over a decade ago. 

The release read, “Robert brings with him a wealth of experience in the communication field spanning 18 years.  Until this appointment (he) has been serving as Editor of the Daily News”. 

Robert holds Masters of Arts and BA (both in English and History) from the University of Botswana.  He also holds a Master of Arts in Finance Management and Diploma in Development Communication from Amity University and Indian Institute of Mass Communication. 

“The appointment of the officer is a demonstration of DIS commitment to opening channels of communication between members of the public, media and ourselves,” read the press statement.
