Volleyball action resumes with clash of titans

Both teams have a number of new players that are ready for battle. Nearly half of the Mafolofolo team is new though the debutants have settled in well.

The gap created by the departure of experienced players has not been felt, although there are fears that the young recruits might wilt under pressure as the league progresses. Mafolofolo has won the two games it has played to date.

Team coach, Kabo Ntshinogang said he does not know much about Kalavango since some of their players have left. He said he has not seen Kalavango play this season and he is not sure what they have in store for them. The last time the two met was last year when Mafolofolo continued its dominance over Kalavango.

Ntshinogang said his team has not been able to train regularly due to the rains. 'We only started training on Wednesday, after being disrupted by the rain,' he stated.

He said at the moment the focus is not winning the league but rebuilding since most of his players are new.

Kalavango coach, Lesedi Hule could not be reached for comment as his mobile phone rang unanswered.

In Kasane, Chobe will play two games against Diphatsa and Spartans tomorrow. In other women's matches, Spiking Stars will pit its wits against Kutlwano while Mafolofolo take on Dynamites in their second game of the day.

The Kalavango-Dynamites game will be the last fixture of the day at SSKB. In men's games, Itekeng will host Mafolofolo and Kalavango in Jwaneng.

In the other game, Mafolofolo will play Victory Seekers.
