Mrs Botswana growing bigger, better

This year’s pageant is scheduled for November 2018 at Boipuso Hall where tickets will be sold at P350 for the standard tickets and P600 for VIP.
This year, 11 finalists will be battling it out for a crown in which the queen will qualify for Mrs Universe in the Philippines in December.
The reigning queen will be competing against 73 contestants from around the world. Pageant director, Kgalalelo Lesetedi said she anticipated that Mrs Botswana coronation would this year attract a large number of audience compared to last year. She promised revellers to expect lots of entertainment from the finalists saying this year’s performances will be ‘lit’.
She added that there will be a surprise performance from one of the local artists during the big day. Lesetedi said Mrs Botswana was focused on happy healthy marriages and families. She said the queen would be undertaking projects relating to healthy marriages and families.
The finalists are said to be currently undergoing a mentorship programme that runs for 10 sessions, to edutain, inspire and motivate them. She explained that the women meet fortnightly under different themes, dress codes and topics for grooming and mentorship. “Mrs Botswana would like to appreciate Chelsea Spa for a great partnership. “It will beautify the finalists on the big night and the queen and her princesses are offered packages that will leave them stunning during their term.
“Lushly Beautiful availed their lipsticks to shine during their term.
Divine Moments will avail their coaching and mentorship programme during their grooming and will work with Mrs Botswana towards helping building happy healthy marriages and families for a year,” she said. She said their partnership with Divine Moments would help address issues that affect their welfare. Other sponsors for this year’s pageant include Avani Hotel, Biotipo and The Makeover Place hair salon and KeNo Suits.
