The chairperson of Wayeyi Tribal Council, Dithando Gceba said the deceased will be buried on Sunday at Wayeyi cultural village in Gumare. Gceba said among dignitaries expected to attend the burial is Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Slumber Tsogwane. He further revealed that members of Wayeyi tribe from Namibia will also attend.
Gceba explained that the place where Ozoo will be buried is sacred. He said the late Wayeyi chief Calvin Kamanakao was buried at the site. Ozoo, who was a chief at Nokaneng village, was on schedule to be officially recognised by Government as Wayeyi paramount chief. In May last year, Tsogwane recognised Wayeyi as a tribe and their right to have a paramount chief.
