The club, however, refuted claims it faces financial challenges which has seen the club fail to consistently shell dues to playing staff.

Chaba had said there were financial challenges at the club, adding it was affecting the squad. He said the club owes him outstanding dues.

“Yes, I have not been paid for some months but what worries me the most is my CV,” he said. “Truth must be told, the team has no first team depth and I have to rotate the players time and again not because I want to but because I don’t have a choice. Training is not up to the standard I would like for a league we are competing in.

“This problem affects my career as a coach. It is issues we (coaches) face with our clubs and the management need to take responsibility. They won’t come to my rescue when my head is on the block for poor results. Sometimes we carry the blame for the problems we didn’t cause,” lamented Chaba.

Club spokesperson, Edwin Ntau moved to rubbish the claims. “It is not true. All is well at Miscellaneous and the team is training well. We don’t make enough revenue but we work extra harder to ensure our players get their wages. We get a lot of assistance from the community of Serowe and I can confirm that all players are paid. Those are just damning allegations.”

Miscellaneous have signed four players in the January transfer window, Moshe Tlhaolang (Notwane), Kealeboga Koko (Black Peril), Daniel Taboka from Nico United in a swap deal for Thabo Mosielele. They also signed Olerile Modise from Kasane.
