Police search for fatal hit and run suspect

The unknown vehicle reportedly ran over and killed a 62-year-old woman suspected to have been        to cross the road. 

Assistant superintendent, Zachariah Tshenyego said they have not arrested anyone in connection to the case.  He said a passerby saw the old woman on the road but did not see her get hit by a car. 

“Her body was sent for an autopsy and was handed over to her family last Friday for burial arrangements.  I suspect that the deceased might have been buried over the weekend,” he said. 

Police have told Mmegi that at this point they do not have any strong leads in the case and are appealing to the community to help solve the crime.
