The youthful pastor is famous for hosting RB2 gospel radio show. He  was at one point chased out of the mass media complex at the height of the BDP split that bore the BMD, after he was suspected of sympathising with the splinter party.

Former BMD president, late Gomolemo Motswaledi was a staunch  UCCSA member. Tiego, who also leads an emerging group of charismatic pastors within the UCCSA, is also a recording musician and music director who hosts musical concerts, under the banner, “The Beautitudes”.

In his latest controversy Tiego wrote on his Facebook wall that attracted a lot of interest among his hordes of follower: “In a vision on the 1st of January, I was shown the outcome of the 2019 general elections. I have been battling with how to share what I saw. I saw vividly clear the inauguration session, and GREAT (emphasis his) change had encompassed (sic) the Republic of Botswana. I saw and I know the man who took over. I was so humbled to have this revealed to me.”

Tiego would then state that he has chosen not to affiliate to any political party because his calling makes all parties his children in the Lord. “I was born and bred in a BDP family in Molepolole and my parents remain BDP to this end. I stood for the SRC elections at the UB under the banner of ‘Bana Ba Mpa Expedition 200’ which was purely for students by students, the elections which I lost dismally, but honourably accepted the results,” he wrote. Tiego stated that as a church minister who is enjoying his calling serving from the pulpit, he has committed himself to seeking God’s will concerning Botswana.

“I’m carrying a national burden of praying for Botswana, and guess what, God has started revealing things to me in the spirit,” he claimed. At the end Tiego stated that he was available to share the vision with the leadership ofpolitical parties in order to get them ready for the eventuality. The Facebook status posted on January 23 attracted 84 reactions and 29 comments from his followers with most saying “Amen”. Some challenged him to share his vision but he declined. Tiego initially agreed to speak to The Monitor further on his vision but changed tack soon to say  he had nothing further to say than what is on Facebook.
