The next best performer is Marang in Francistown, grossing P10, 851, 700, followed by Sedibeng Casino in Francistown with P8, 654, 862, and Letsatsi Casino of Palapye coming forth with P6, 580, 579, followed by Kings Casino in Lobatse, grossing P4, 506,432.

Phikwe based Syringa also grossed P4, 103, 703, with the worst performing casinos being Teemane Casino in Jwaneng grossing P230, 327 and Moonlight casino at Gaborone Hotel, at the Bus rank, making a paltry P3, 847.

In total, the Gambling Authority reports gross gambling revenue made by the casinos of P225, 206, 160, an improvement of 0.29% from the previous financial year.

As regards entrance levy paid to the Government, Gaborone Sun Casino took a leading position ahead of the Grand Palm.

The two entities made P1, 234, 300 and P1, 023, 045 respectively from entrance revenues, while the next best collector was Marang casino at P275, 900 and Sedibeng casino at P239, 424, and Kings Casino at P227, 790.

The Grand Palm and Gaborone Sun further paid P8, 685, 563 and P7, 538, 700 respectively in gambling levy.

They were the only casinos to pay levies in excess of a million pula, although Marang Casino came close with P968, 902.
