He said he does not know the whereabouts of the rest of the players. He said the only player who has officially left the team is their talisman, Katlego Mpoeleng who has joined Morupule Wanderers.

“I am in the dark as to what is happening,” he said. “I have been showing up at the ground every day since January 9, which is the date we agreed to resume our preparations and only five players showed up and I don’t know about the rest.”

He said the last two members of the team management who have been active have not been forthcoming to help the situation.  He said he was hoping to sign a few players in the transfer window to help rescue the team from relegation, but as it stands that seems unlikely and instead he is rebuilding entirely.

“I don’t know if the players will ever come back. I don’t see anything done (by management) to ensure they come back.  I was hoping to beef up in this transfer window but that seems like a distant dream.

There is no time and we find ourselves in a desperate situation. We have resorted to players who play constituency tournaments to make the numbers.

At least they will be easy to register and hopefully we will spring a surprise with them,” he said. Satmos had faced a similar challenge in the off-season after relegating from the Premiership when they were hit by a mass exodus of players.

The team endured a strenuous first round of the campaign and they finished rooted at the bottom of the table with four points after 11 games.

According to sources close to the club the problem is compounded by the relocation of team director Mooketsi ‘China’ Mading who is reported to have moved to Sua Town. The source said Mading is no longer active in the team. Efforts to source comments from him and the club manager, Keitshokile Moswela failed, as their mobile phones were unanswered.
