However, despite the speculation, Rollers coach, Mogomotsi ‘Teenage’ Mpote said they have no intention of signing any player at the moment.

“Yes, Kaone (Vanderwesthuizen) might be injured at the moment, but we will continue to improvise.  Our intention is to sign in the next transfer window as we do not want to disrupt the squad we have,” Mpote said.

In the absence of Vanderwesthuizen, Rollers have used Mosha Gaolaolwe and Thato Bolelweng on the left.

Tshepo ‘Talk Talk’ Motlhabankwe can also be used at left back.

Olerile, along with four others were released by GU this week.  The Maape-born defender joined The Reds from Rollers two seasons ago.  Other players who left are Kenamile Mani, Moatlhodi Ralesotla, Kenalemang Neo and Refilwe Senyane.

Olerile had found playing time hard to come by this season as he is behind Karabo Phiri, Gosegonna ‘Slesh’ Molapisi and new recruit, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe in the pecking order. Olerile becomes the fourth player to exit club among those who boycotted training last season over coach, Rodolfo Zapata’s training methods.

Olerile had also taken the club to the Labour Office over unpaid salaries, which might have exacerbated the situation. He only featured once in a cup game for GU this season and was yet to play in the league.
