The experienced Bright arrived at Wanderers in the off-season, a few weeks before the league started. Bright had earlier said his late arrival and uncertainty of the job, limited him from making major decisions.

Half a season later, after a tough lesson that saw Wanderers in doldrums week in and week out, managing a paltry seven points and rooted in the relegation zone at position 10 after 11 games, Bright is making a major overhaul of the squad.

He has released 13 players and signed six and is expecting nine more before the January window closes. Bright has also cleared uncertainties surrounding his stay at Wanderers.

“I have taken a decision to stay and help build a competitive side,” he said. “I still don’t have a contract with the club but my idea is to carry this club into the Premiership and ensure they are settled then that’s when we can sit for contracts (talks) or maybe then I start deciding about my future.”

He said the two factors that prompted his decision to remain at the club for longer is the challenge of restructuring the club and the development of young talent in the Tswapong region. “Restructuring is a difficult exercise and with the little time I have already spent here it has not been easy and I want to help. It’s a challenge I relish. I also enjoy working with young players and they are abundant in this region. I want to explore the talent here and help them (young players) grow.”

Wanderers spokesperson, Kesetsekae Molefe confirmed the acquisition of the six players and said they expect to wrap up the other nine transfers soon.

“We expect to complete a number of signings this week. We are awaiting correspondences from their clubs, but all is sorted,” he said. “We have completed six signings as per our coach’s request.”

The six players who have already signed are former Miscellaneous duo, Dikaelo Poulwe and Bakang Loeto, Thopho Motheng from Sankoyo Bush Bucks, former Satmos talisman Katlego Mpoeleng, Thabang Mphetolang and Ontiretse Kolobe both from Mochudi Rovers.
