Matebele have lost two, won one and drew three of their last five league encounters. They found the back of the net nine times and conceded 10 times. They sit on the eighth spot with 18 points from 14 games.

Setshwane admitted that there would always be pressure if results are not going your way, after he watched his side throw away a 2-1 lead to draw with Mochudi Centre Chiefs last Friday.

“Everywhere in the world, even at big teams like Barcelona when you lose one or three games, would you say you are safe?

There are bosses, even if they did not mandate you to be in the top eight or 10, but when you accumulate several losses they will start doubting you. They will put pressure particularly on you as a coach not on the players or management‚” Setshwane said.

He went on to say that a losing coach has few friends as losses chase away even those who were close at first. Setshwane, however, stated that they intend to win the Mascom Top 8 as there is P1.2 million at stake. Meanwhile, in other BTC Premiership encounters played over the weekend, Township Rollers ended Orapa United’s 16 game unbeaten run after beating the Ostriches 4-1. The win moved Popa to the top of the table, while Orapa plunged to third.

Thabang Sesinyi’s only goal of the match against Sankoyo Bush Bucks ensured that Jwaneng Galaxy climbed to second spot with 28 points, the same as the new leaders. It was Sesinyi’s seventh goal this season. Black Forest’s late win against Mahalapye United Hotspurs sent them  to the fourth spot with 23 points whereas Hotspurs dropped bottom of the log with eight points.

Extension Gunners’ goalless draw against Police XI ensured that they remain on sixth position with 20 points while Police XI maintained ninth spot with 17 points.

Miscellaneous’s 4-0 win against Nico United pulled them to 12th position with 15 points, Nico dropped to the 13th spot. Green Lovers 2-0 victory against Security Systems saw them rise to the 15th position while Systems remain seventh.

Former BDF XI forward, Patrick Kaunda’s only goal against Gaborone United saw his side move away from the relegation zone to 10th. GU dropped to fifth with 21points.
