'Ben 10' Kills His Married Lover

The incident reportedly followed a misunderstanding between the couple according to the young lover.

Mogoditshane police’s Criminal Investigation Department officer in charge, assistant superintendent Tebogo Morwamang confirmed the incident stating that the suspect in the matter Percy Pabale reported himself to the police on October 3, 2018.

“Pabale came in the morning of October 3rd around 10am and reported himself to the police. He told us that he had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend, and that their argument led to a fight and that he left her badly injured,” explained Morwamang.

He said the police rushed to the scene of crime near Mogoditshane Senior Secondary School, where they found Clara Mabutho, a married woman lying on the ground in the bush bleeding.“We found her lying on the ground bleeding from her back. Looking at the injuries she had sustained, it appeared that she was stabbed with a sharp object. The police rushed her to the clinic where she was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctor,” Morwamang added.

He stated that the deceased’s post mortem was conducted mid last week and her body was handed over to her family to process the burial arrangements.

“Pabale was on Friday arraigned before Broadhurst Magistrate Court charged with a single count of murder,” Morwamang said.

Morwamang raised a concern over escalating murder cases in his policing area occurring as a result of love related issues.

He said so far they have recorded 11 murder cases something, which is of concern because they have been conducting campaigns urging people to respect the sanctity of life.

He said in their community outreach forums they have been pleading with people to avoid settling disputes through violent means, but that seem to be falling on deaf ears.

“People should change their attitude and show consideration of their lives and that of other people. It seems like as the police we have a lot to do towards changing people’s attitude and their approach towards life,” said Morwamang.
