Ngobi who is still in his native country is expected to arrive next week.

The striker left when Chouka was relegated last season. Team manager, Gaolathe Kelesitse said the player would immediately be available.

“He is still contracted to us so there will be no complicated processes, he will be available as soon as he arrives,” he said.

“We are expecting him to join the rest of the squad in training at the beginning of next week. At the moment we are sorting out his travel logistics.”

Alongside Ngobi, he said they have signed two other strikers, one from Phikwe Aces and the other from Goo Sekgweng in Tswapong.

Kelesitse said they are looking for a left back and a goalkeeper after recently losing Kabelo Kgosipula to Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

“We have agreed personal terms with Nico’s Nkabekwa Kagiso to replace Kgosipula. We have released some other players because of indiscipline and we have to replace them. We have experienced problems caused by lack of depth in the first round and we need about five new players to solve that challenge, otherwise the squad is exciting.”

Kelesitse said they are targeting to win the first six games, which include against rivals BR Highlanders and cross-town foes Morupule Wanderers.“We are not expecting anything on the platter. The first round has been tough and we are expecting the second round to be even more difficult with all the teams preparing well in this transfer window but we are targeting maximum points in the first six games,” he said.

Motlakase mounted a spirited campaign in the first round with their new charges after a major revamp in the off-season. The Palapye outfit sit on position three with 23 points, three points adrift of leaders, TAFIC. Meanwhile, Chouka still await judgement after they were accused of fielding a defaulter against TASC in their first round encounter.

Chouka appeared before the First Division North committee in Francistown on January 7 for the hearing and the verdict is set to be delivered tomorrow.

Motlakase could be docked points if they lose the case.
