Saleshando confirmed in an interview that they tendered their resignation letters on Monday but said he is not in position to reveal reasons for their resignation. ÒI can not reveal reasons why we resigned. We will only share that with the media after we have officially handed over.Ó
Sankoyo team manager, Onalenna Ditlhakanyane confirmed the resignations but was also not at liberty to share the reasons.
Reports suggest the two resigned due to interference from the Sankoyo Tshwaragano Management Trust in the running of the team. The trust is a legal entity owned by the Sankoyo community which has been instrumental in funding the team.
Ngurungu has of late been thrown into turmoil after playersÕ boycotted training after going for months without pay. The team lost 3-0 against Gaborone United last Saturday after going into the game without training. Sankoyo will take on high riding Galaxy FC in a tricky encounter in Jwaneng on Saturday.
