It is three years since a Jonathan Pitriopa-led Burkina Faso faced then, Peter Butler's charges.

Butler was still relatively new, having joined the Zebras in February. The Francistown Sports Complex was hosting it first-ever international match.

A then record crowd of over 25,000 fans crammed into the new venue on September 5, and the Zebras responded with an exciting brand of football.

Joel Mogorosi came off the bench to prod home in the 49th minute to torch wild celebrations, as the Zebras recorded a famous win, and got their campaign off to a solid start.

Before the game, all eyes were on ginger haired striker, Aristende Bance, who however, was isolated for larger parts of the match and was withdrawn later on. Pitroipa, the star of the 2013 AFCON tournament in South Africa, was equally subdued as local stars, Kabelo Seakanyeng and Lebogang Ditsele announced their arrival.

Hendrick Moyo will not forget the game as he missed several gilt edged chances, despite his ingenuity off the ball.

At the end of the match, Zebras fans poured into the pitch to celebrate a sweet victory.

While the Zebras were on a high then, today they go into the match deflated after a 3-0 loss in Ougadogou on Saturday, which left their campaign in tatters.

The line-up when the teams met in 2015:

Botswana: Dambe, Boitumelo Mafoko, Mosha Gaolaolwe, Moyana, Kabelo Seakanyeng, Nato (C), Ngele, Moyo, Kebatho (Mogorosi-41), Ditsele.
