Kavazovic had grown unpopular, as he clashed with players, notably a training ground burst up with winger, Lemponye Tshireletso, while he sidelined experienced stars such as Ofentse Nato and Tshepo Motlhabankwe. He forced out his assistant, Teenage Mpote, due to strained relations.

Rollers confirmed the departure of the Serbian this afternoon.

'Rollers has mutually terminated the contract of Mr Kavazovic with immediate effect. The management has taken this decision to respect the dignity of players, technical team and executive management, including the president of the club.

'The appointment of a new head coach will be communicated as soon as it is finalised,' club chairperson, Walter Kgabung said in a statement.

Despite his strained relationship with players, Kavazovic was one of the club's most successful coaches, leading Popa to two league titles, as well as the Mascom Top 8 cup.

However, his biggest achievement was leading Rollers to their first ever CAF Champions League group stage, a historic achievement for Botswana football. There were reports that he had stepped on the wrong toes, as he irked club president and financier, Jagdish Shah, which marked his demise.

Kavazovic has constantly been linked with South African Premiership sides, notably, Baroka FC.
