Various designers managed to stick to the theme with relevant designs.
Amongst the designers on the night was Lesedi Matlapeng, a talented established fashion designer, and the proprietor of the reputable fashion house Kefseddy Design Pty Ltd that was founded in 2003.
Kefseddy specialises in evening dresses, wedding gowns, ethnic and leather outfits. On the night, her designs managed to equally inspire various clients. Designers were required to harness the technology around them and make their businesses successful. Amongst the top designers on the night was Guyana-born Delayna Scott, whose journey to being a fashion designer started on the runaway - as a model.
For someone whose career in fashion design started in 2010, Scott’s outfits on the runway drove the awareness and reminded people about the fast changing world of fashion. Previously known as Mothware Creations, Priestly was inspired by the Book of Exodus 28 where God commanded different garments be worn in the Temple.
The creator of Priestly, Mathware Botha said she wanted garments that will make her clients feel like royalty and magnify their femininity. Priestly is a brand that is outstanding on the runway and Masa Fashion Show was right to bring in this designer on their event because the outfits on the show did not only remain relevant but they drove the idea that local talent need to be promoted. They were so many impressive brands on the night such as Dihdah, Seddy, Eccentric Style Loft and Botocy Creations just to name but a few and they all brought their A-game. The fashion show was also meant to develop and create a market for local designers to sell their products to individuals and retailers as well as developing the local fashion industry in a much more sustainable way.
