The state alleges that Manuel Mathews Greenland indecently assaulted the three female JMS students aged 11, 12 and 13 at the school on September 27.

The accused pleaded not guilty to all the counts after he was arraigned before Magistrate Kaveri Kapeko.

Inspector Mengistu Chigala did not oppose Greenland, who is currently on suspension from his duties at JMS following the allegations, to be granted bail.

Chigala said investigations into the matter are about to be completed and there is no way Greenland would tamper with the investigations.

Magistrate Kapeko granted Greenland bail on conditions that he surrenders his travel documents, enters into his own recognisance in the sum of P1, 000, bring one surety who shall bind himself in the same amount, not interfere with state witnesses and appear in court as and when required to do so.

Attorney Wada Nfila represented the accused. Greenland will appear in court on November 20 for mention.

Greenland who was accompanied by a female companion believed to be his wife, walked confidently outside court after his brief arraignment.
