Humiliated Gunners meet Chiefs again

Kick-off is 4pm. Gunners have so far lost twice against Chiefs this season and get a good  chance to revenge on Sunday.

In the Coke Cup, Gunners were dealt a heavy blow as one of their most influential players, Monageng Thaele had to be replaced in the first half through injury.

The exciting midfielder has been one of the most consistent players. Although he normally plays in midfield, he was fielded in the left back position against Chiefs last week. Gunners played purposively in the second half after the introduction of Ofentse Mmipi in place of Kemmy Pilato.

It was not a game in which Gunners played really bad but they committed some silly errors especially at the back. Bernard Semakwezi tried his best but he was isolated most of the time.  It will be a major blow for Gunners if they lose again this Sunday as fifth-placed ECCO City Greens are just three points away and might dislodge them from fourth spot.

Chiefs go into the game knowing very well what is at stake.

A loss could realistically mean their league chase is over. They could also find dislodging Uniao Flamengo Santos from second spot very difficult.

Santos moved to second spot when Chiefs were engaged in the Coca-Cola Cup last week. Against Gunners, Chiefs looked solid in the midfield with Dirang Moloi displaying one of his best performances this season.

He can once again cause damage if not taken care of. Sekhana Koko, arguably Chiefs' best player this season, will once again be key on Sunday. The former Township Rollers and Santos' striker seems to be enjoying his game.
