The bank’s managing director (MD), Reinette van der Merwe said the transaction presents their bank as a more modern, fast thinking and relevant organisation that is truly an African bank that is for the people.

“We led the market by launching the first bank to wallet service and the Dynamic Currency Conversion. The recently refreshed Barclays App provides a more secure user experience given the biometric security feature that we have introduced. It is through these innovations that we continue to improve our service offering and customer experience,” she said.
