Mosa crowned Miss Razi

During the question and answer session the 22-year-old talked about issues of trade in the country and how diamonds and beef have been the biggest trade sustaining the economy. She explained that during these transactions foreign exchange and economic diversification is brought forth and employment is also generated.

“I love animals very much and pageantry obviously. I want to be the first ever pageant titleholder with a veterinary medicine qualification,” she said. She confessed that from a very young age, she knew she was destined to be above average in everything that she does. “I am confident and self-confessed farmer in the making. I see myself feeding Botswana in the near future,” she concluded.

The grand finale started with the introduction of the contestants, as they paraded with their black jeans and red t-shirts branded Miss Razi. Some of the contestants gave inspirational speeches and others recited poems by some of the most popular poets. The girls enticed the crowd with their swimsuit parade.

One of the judges at the pageant, Lazarus Kajane, who was also in the top three of My Star 2016 Botswana, said Mosa deserved the title because she had it all. The walk, confidence, presence in the stage, “she just had it all. Yes it was a tough competition but Mosa worked hard for this title”.

Letlhogonolo Motseonageng walked away as 1st princess, while Matshelo Madome scooped the 2nd princess title.

The crowd enjoyed a performance by Wa Sekai who performed Adele’s Hello.
