The player will reportedly earn P30,000, which is three times more of what he was earning at GU.

Moyagoleele’s communications manager, Ernest Mosedame told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the club would have wanted to sell the player for a higher fee but their hands were tied.

“This is the situation in our local scenario, clubs abroad invite our players for trials and take advantage of our level of professionalism as it is a fact that our clubs struggle to pay players. The clubs agree personal terms with the players through their agents then on our side we have to put the player’s interests first. For a player like Kgaswane who played at all levels of the national team, the sum we got is low. They initially offered $15,000 (P150,000),” he said.

Mosedame further revealed that GU would benefit 15% of future transfers and would be rewarded a further P20,000 if the player makes 80% of the Premier League and cup games. Kgaswane arrived at Moyagoleele in 2013 from Uniao Flamingo Santos and won the Mascom Top 8 with the club in 2015.

Meanwhile, Mosedame revealed that attacker Hendrick Moyo has handed in a transfer request but the club would like to keep him until his contract ends in June. Moyo who is having a barren season at GU has been a target of both Security Systems and Extension Gunners.

“He (Moyo) asked to terminate his contract, but as a club we would like to see him play his contract out. As of now no club has come forward requesting for his services and we would not release him for free as we paid a lot of money for him when we acquired him from Orapa United,” he said.

The Reds are having a rather busier transfer window since the period opened on January 2. The team has signed Under-20 left back, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe who has had a stint at Nico United, on two-year contract. The club is also chasing Orapa United captain, Thabang Mosige and Gunners’ Kutlwelo Mpolokang.

On the other side of the city, Mochudi Centre Chiefs are chasing former GU trio of Gaopatwe Seosenyeng, Katlego Koobake and Tendai Nyamadzawo.

The trio has been training with the club since last week and the deals were expected to be concluded by the end of business day on Tuesday (yesterday). Magosi are said to be finalising former Zebras striker, Jerome Ramatlhakwane’s deal after failing to secure his services in the winter transfer period.
