Masisi readying for first SONA

Masisi ascended the presidency after former President Ian Khama vacated the highest office on April 1, 2018. 

For the first time the proceedings of SONA will done by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Kagiso Molatlhegi since the Speaker of the National Assembly Gladys Kokorwe is not well. The President is expected to deliver his address around 13:30 hours.

“The preparation for SONA is going well. The only thing that we are still trying to sort out is the entrance in which the First Lady Neo Masisi will use and where she will be sitting,” chairperson for media and publicity sub committee Joel Thuto said.
