Search for rape suspect continues

The unknown suspect allegedly attacked the girl whilst waiting to board a combi by the bus stop around 7pm.  He dragged her to the nearest bush where he raped her at knifepoint. 

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, superintendent Russ Letsebe confirmed the incident saying that they are still searching for the unknown suspect.

He said the victim disclosed that she was home alone after her family was away attending a wedding ceremony.

“She said she was scared to spend the night alone (at home) hence she decided to go spend the night at her sister’s place in Block 9, 

Gaborone, but unfortunately she was attacked whilst waiting to board a combi,” said Letsebe stating it is usually hard to arrest suspects of that nature, as the victims fail to identify them.
