The Melody Gospel TV Show season two was launched last Thursday following a successful season one, which was won by Mooketsi Gaontebale in April 2017. The talent search show airs on Btv.

At the launch, BOSETU Funeral Scheme (BOFUS) was announced as one of this year’s sponsors. They are providing a general sponsorship worth P100, 000. Other sponsors include Travellers Choice (P300, 000) and T-Connect from South Africa.

Last year, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development and Chande Transport from South Africa sponsored the show. The executive producer and founder of the show, Pagson Ntsie expressed delight that he is living the dream of owning a reality TV show. He said it has been a long tough road, but he is finally reaping the rewards of his hard work.

“We all have dreams in life, and as we are sitting down here, we are dreaming an it’s up to an individual to make that dream come true. If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t realise that dream,” he said.

He said he was inspired by reality TV shows such as America Got Talent and American Idols.

He said that this season’s show would have 26 episodes lasting 48 minutes each, something that he attributed to the success of the previous show.

He said this is a big opportunity for organisations such as BOFUS to utilise the airtime to advertise its services.

Ntsie also revealed that they would share the proceeds of the show with the Old Naledi Makgasa Children’s Centre as they have embarked on a journey to raise funds for the centre.

Meanwhile, music promoter Gilbert PP wa Pimp Seagile urged upcoming music artistes to package and market their products well in order to be successful.

The winner of the first season Gaontebale won P100, 000 cash, a recording deal, year’s agency and distribution.
