BDF on course to win softball league

However, Lekgetho alleged that some teams are working in cahoots with umpires to rob them of the title. He stated that though the league is generally going on well, there are some things that still leave a lot to be desired. He talked about poor organisation and wondered why sponsors' banners have not displayed during matches throughout the league. Lekgetho said every sponsor is looking at gaining mileage and wondered how the interests of Estates Construction Company is going to be served when their banners have not been displayed at games.

Botswana Softball Association (BSA) spokesperson Kabelo Kwape said the company could not erect its banners because the Botswana National Sports Council had informed them the National Diamond will be closed soon. However, the closure did not happen as quickly as expected and BSA gave the sponsor the go-ahead to erect a few banners but the company has been reluctant because it looks like they wanted to do a massive huge branding. Kwape said he was going to have a meeting with the sponsor and the issue will be on the agenda.
