Miss Ramotswa is a beauty pageant with the intension of revealing the hidden talents amongst the youth of Botswana. Thirteen contestants aged 16-22 years will be competing for the coveted crown. The event will be held under the theme, “The possible dream embracing tomorrow.”

The pageant director, Matlhomola Motsagae told Showbiz that the main aim of the pageant is to share Christmas with everyone, more especially with the less privileged. “We have noted in the past that the less privileged are always left aside. We have identified them and one of our community member Mr Mogapi has pledged food which will be served to the said individuals during the event,” she said. For her part, the pageant manager Amantle Lekote said they are working with 25 combats, Tashys Royal Garden and the Miss Ramotswa pageant management powers most of the activities.

“The 2016 Miss Razi pageant beats the last year’s pageant with quite a number of factors. We improved our marketing strategies as we introduced merchandise and pull up burners,” she said.

She also said they have featured a number of activities such as car wash, mini aerobics, gala dinner, mall activation and boot camp. Lekote said the pageant is not only based on embracing the youth’s talents but also giving back to the community by offering a helping hand to the needy.

During last year’s pageant they donated food hampers and toiletries to children with special needs at Re fa ka bone.

The event will provide attendants with some fun activities, which include children fashion show, family fun day, games (both traditional and modern), face paintings, jumping castles, and water slides. Various artists, DJ’s and dikhwaere will provide the entertainment for the day. Tickets for children are sold at P25, general P50 and VIP P150
