Gunners inconsistency worries Nare

The Lobatse-based outfit started the league with a 1-1 draw against Mochudi Centre Chiefs. They tasted their first win of the season against new comers, Security Systems. They went on to play to a goalless draw against BDF XI before beating Miscellaneous. Gunners’ good run was ended by Orapa United but redeemed their pride against Malahapye Hotspurs.

Thereafter, Mapantsula started to experience their worst run of the season as they collected one point from three games. They drew with Sankoyo and suffered two losses at the hands of Gilport Lions and Township Rollers. They were rescued by Wadza Seleka’s 88th minute goal against Gaborone United a fortnight ago. However, they suffered their heaviest defeat at the hands of Jwaneng Galaxy recently.

“The inconsistency worries me. My team is inconsistent because it lacks experience in key areas especially going forward. We do not have experience at the top as our striker is new on the Premiership set up,” Nare highlighted. He further said he is satisfied with his defence even though they are snappy at times. Nare said the inconsistency of his team is also worsened  by a goal drought.

“We are not scoring enough goals. Our conversion rate is low,” he said.

Gunners are currently occupying the sixth position with 18 points from 12 games.
