The event hosted by Ex’zozo Entertainment will include a surprise act, and locals artists amongst others Franco, Vee Mampeezy, Ban T, Veezo and many more.

The brainchild of the event, Godwin Sebina aka Exotic told the media on Friday that they have a 100% local lineup so far, but they intend to add a few international acts soon.  He said he came up with the event concept because he had realised that central district is very big, but it does not have any recognised event to welcome the New Year.

“The aim is to build a brand which can attract people from all over the country. We want to bring tourism to the central district, specifically Serowe,” he said. Exotic added that the event is 100% citizen-owned.

“We want to make a countdown to 2019 with huge fireworks between 11.30pm and midnight.

That’s when we will have the surprise artist on stage,” he highlighted.

He added that as an initiative to promote tourism, they have engaged transport companies from Palapye and Francistown and the latter will provide packages.

Exotic said they are working with two hotels in order to avail accommodation packages as well. Exotic further said they are aiming to have a minimum of 10,000 people at the event.  “We have started our marketing in time so that people can decide whether to come to our event or not.

Having that many people means we will take up our security measures. We have engaged security systems,” he said.  Exotic said on Thursdays they will host hip-hop sessions at Jalapenos Restaurant in Riverwalk Mall as activations for the Concert of All Cncerts.  “There will be cocktails and drink specials during the activations,” he said.  Exotic, who used to host an event called Togetherness, said that he is no longer doing the event as his focus is on the new one.

He said they have also partnered with Mabaila Foundation in order to give back to the community of Sjapi, as Serowe is affectionately called, after the event.

“Botswana Television will broadcast the countdown,” he said. Exotic added that besides the festival, they would have activities like quad-biking, swimming and car spinning during the day.  Early bird tickets are sold at P100 and after November 30 the ticket price will go up to P150. The VIP ticket is sold at P500 and the benefits include inside parking, limited drinks, food, artist lounge and backstage access.
