Shock as athlete dies during training

Mmegi Sport is reliably informed that the 32-year-old collapsed during training at UB stadium and was certified dead upon arrival at hospital.
Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) president, Thari Mooketsi confirmed Mokgadi’s passing in a press statement.
The deceased was part of the 2008 Olympic games preparatory team in Germany and also represented Botswana at the 2011 All Africa Games in Mozambique.
He was also a member of the Olympic qualifiers in 2012 that were held in Italy. Still in the same year, he competed at the Africa Senior Championship in Benin.
He was part of the 4X400m relay team and recipient of a national team sport award.
BAA spokesperson, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba said the deceased was preparing for the IAAF World Championships slated for Doha next year.
