Inaugural Ga Mmangwato Jazz Festival this Christmas

The BOMU and YAMAs award winner will be alongside AFRIMA nominee Nnunu Ramogotsi and saxophonist Lister Boleseng, who released his second album entitled Moratiso, to season the sizzling lineup.
Other artists billed include Lekofi Sejeso, Beejay Trio and D-Nice. The MCs for the day will be Osi Lashani of BTV and Zenzele Hirschfeld.
In an interview with Showbiz, one of the show organisers, Modiredi Keitshokile said existing shows have been targeting the youth, therefore with the Jazz festival they aim to change that.
“Elders don’t have anywhere to go to when it’s Christmas.
That’s why this event is necessary,” he said.
He said this Christmas is a Sunday, therefore it would be fitting to have a jazz festival. “It will be a time to chill and relate to jazz,” he said.
Keitshokile said they have also engaged upcoming artists from the Bamangwato area. He said they have never had a live jazz show in Serowe on Christmas day. He said they will be using the stadium and they would make everyone feel the holiday mood.
The event will run from 10am to 4am the following day. Standard ticket is sold at P100, double P160, VIP P325, and VVIP P500.
