Marked Improvement In PSLE Results

A total of 42,517 candidates sat the 2016 PSLE examination showing a decrease from the 2015 candidature of 42,553. Of the 42,517 students, 21,408 were females and 21,109 were males.

The 2016 PSLE overall performance indicates that the proportion of candidates obtaining Grade C or better went up by 0.82% from 69.74% in 2015 to 70.56% in 2016. The percentage of candidates obtaining Grade A in this examination rests at 16.06% against 14.65% of last year representing an increase of 1.41%.

There are 33.95% candidates at Grade B compared to 17.84% in 2015, representing an increase of 16.11%. At the lower grades, 7.30% of the candidates obtained Grade E compared to 6.81% in 2015, showing an increase of 0.49%.
