Mafikizolo headlined the last session of the Mascom Live Sessions for this year in a sold out event which had the  venue filled up to the rafters. Local jazz artist Thabang also has a performance to impress.

The duo of Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza jammed what can be referred to as timeless hits as they belted out all of their tracks from the time they started performing 20 years ago. The legendary group took music lovers down the memory lane with a number of hits such as Kwela Kwela, Emlanjeni, Masithokoze and their latest tracks such as Khona and Kucheza.

Despite being in the music for many years Mafikizolo seems to be very relevant to the current musical trends and kept everyone on their feet. With some groups from South Africa losing their prominence, Mafikizolo looks like they still have it.

Theo Kgosinkwe and Nciza dished out some energetic dance moves that spiced up their performance. Revellers danced and sang along word for word to all the tracks performed by the duo.

In between performances Mafikizolo’s band and dancers also entertained with their solo acts at some point Nciza took over the decks from their DJ to mix a couple of songs leaving dancers to do their thing, to the thrill of many.

When they finally folded, and retired, those who had thronged the legendary music venue were left hanging about, as if pleading for the show to go on.
