When the venue for the launch was announced, commentators doubted if the UB amphitheatre would be a suitable venue for an event with Charma Gal, Franco and MMP Family in the same line up as it was considered too small.

Surprisingly, on the day the crowd was just a handful, less than what Franco has always attracted alone at his regular ‘performance arena’ at the Metsimotlhabe Community Hall. Everything was in favour of the show to pull a large crowd considering that it was month end.

The show was scheduled to start at 5pm and end at 6am the next morning, but due to poor organisation, it started very late.

At exactly 12 midnight, none of the featured artists had performed as the promoter, artists and other associates were running all over trying to put together the final logistics.

The stage was being prepared when South African DJ Arch Jnr played his set before sizeable attendants who looked disappointed by what they were seeing.

A lot was expected in terms of organisation and performances, but truly there was a mismatch.

Artists including Charma Gal tried their best to impress and make up for lost time, but it was hard since they rushed through their performances.

Tshepo G, MMP Family and Mlesho Kai 1 warmed up the stage for live performers, Franco and Charma Gal.

They were all given approximately 20 minutes, which allowed them to perform just three or less songs much to the chagrin of their fans who patiently waited to see them perform.Culture Spears, the traditional group that was where Charma Gal made a name for herself led by her former husband, Kabelo Mogwe was expected to bring back the spark, and ‘charge Charma Gal’, but it did not turnout the way many expected.

Culture Spears were termed the surprise package by the organisers at the time when the line up was announced as they were to share the stage with her for the first time in a long while, and fans expected them to perform some of the songs they did while she was still part of the group, but was never the case.  The event turned into a dumb squib. Both Franco and Charma Gal performed late in the morning.

They all tried to ignite a spark from the tired crowd but without success.

During her performance, Charma Gal performed both her old songs and those in her new album.
