Nico to pocket 40% from replica sales

They launched a deal with Pedigree Sport last weekend, which will see the company getting a larger share of 60% from the sales. The deal is expected to boost Nico financially after they were recently hard struck by the closure of the BCL Mine, which used to assist them.

The replicas will be sold for P250 each according to   club spokesperson, Mogomotsi ‘Ace’ Orapeleng.

“No money is included in our technical sponsorship with Pedigree. We will just be splitting the shirts sales and they will get a larger share than us (40% to 60%),” Orapeleng said.

He said the deal would motivate their players as the team has been struggling to pay their salaries on time. He further said the team is looking for sponsors in order to curb their financial problems.

He said they have created a space for any potential sponsor on the jerseys and appealed for companies to come on board.

Majombolo played to a 1-1 draw with BDF XI on Wednesday.  They are currently in 10th position with 12 points out of 10 games.

The Selebi-Phikwe based outfit will take on the bottom-placed Green Lovers on Saturday at Serowe Sports Complex.
