Councillor Ntime resigned from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in a letter addressed to BDP secretary general dated December 3, 2018, without citing any reasons for quiting Domkrag.

“I have reached a conscious and profoundly ideological decision to resign from the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) with immediate effect,” Ntime.

In another letter addressed to the BNF secretary general and Gaborone Bonnington North constituency, Ntime requested his BNF membership back.

“I fully subscribe to the BNF leftist-inclined Social Democratic Programme,” Ntime said in the letter.

Nazrullah, as his comrades call him, is popularly remembered for saying that “Khama o sosopanya moriri”.

He was quoted in 2012 after being welcomed in the ruling party saying, 'Even though the opposition likes to disparage him, they will agree with me that when Khama passes by 'O tla utlwa moriri o sosopana' it shows he has charisma.  He is passionate about his job.  Khama is a leader who widely consults.  I will make sure that I work hard for BDP”.

He further declared: 'The opposition is dead.  It has failed.  As parties our main agenda is to develop people, but the opposition is busy fighting. Do you think they will bring developments to Batswana? No! BDP is the answer to Batswana's problems”.
