Brand new Air Botswana plane grounded

Passengers who were supposed to travel this morning at 8am on the BP-034 flight to Maun using the brand new aircraft with registration number A2-ABK codenamed Tsodilo said that they were told that the flight is “postponed indefinitely due to aircraft technical faults”.
The grounding of the aircraft has caused major travel interruptions to Air Botswana passengers as many are stuck at airports with no alternative plan and plane.
Air Botswana management said they “will release a statement about the situation soon”.
Air Botswana took delivery of the first ATR 72-600 (its first ever brand new aircraft) from ATR in Toulouse, France last month. The second is plane is planned for delivery before the end of the year.
