Rollers Ease Past Black Forest

Popa advanced on 4-0 aggregate score line after winning the first 1-0 a week ago. Rollers showed more urgency going forward in the early stages of the match.
Kamohelo Matsabu on the left wing was giving defence all sorts of problems.
In the eighth minute, the winger combined well with Boyo Lechaena.
The latter tried to set up Segolame Boy, but Black Forest managed to deal with the danger. Popa’s efforts were eventually rewarded in the 16th minute when Galagwe Moyana beat the goalkeeper with a well-taken free kick to open the scores.
Forest’s real chance at goal came when Maikano Maikano was spectacularly denied by Keeagile Kgosipula from a corner kick in the 21st minute.
On the other end from a blistering counterattack, Itumeleng Selapa saved Boy’s long-range effort.
The Blues doubled their lead in the 28th minute. Motshetsi Sikele laid a through ball to Tumisang Orebonye who beat the goalkeeper to the bottom corner.
Mothusi Cooper nearly added to his side’s scores with a long range shot targeted at the top corner, but Selapa was up to the task as he parried for a corner with four minutes to the interval.
It only took three minutes into the second half for Rollers to extend their lead, this time around Orebonye turning into provider for Matsabu who beat an offside trap and buried the shot into the nearest post. Forest caught Rollers napping on the hour mark, however, Tiro Pheresi’s shot missed the goal by a whisker.
From a counter in the 65th minute, Orebonye delivered a low cross for Boy whose tap in effort was parried for a corner by Selapa.
With six minutes to time, Lechaena played a pass to substitute, Joel Mogorosi who had the easiest chance at scoring, but skied his effort on the 84th minute.
While two minutes later on the other end, Maikano once again tried from a free kick, but this time around with a hard hit low driven effort that missed the goal just by inches as Rollers held a 3-0 lead into full time.
“We were let down by our approach. It just did not work today. We tried to take the game to them (Rollers) because we had a goal deficit from the first leg.
We had more attack minded players in our starting line up, but it opened pores in our defence,” Forest’s coach Reetsang Letlole said after the game.
His counterpart, Thabo Motang was happy with goal turn. “We have been failing to score goals, but today we scored. It is not like we have not been playing well but we have not been converting,” he said.
