Miraclo has six tracks namely Rra Lenao, Wa Metlholo, Miraclo, Angela, Wa Nkolota and Weekend. This album has shown Skupu’s growth.

“Rra Lenao is a song about rich men who steal our girlfriends by luring them with their money and expensive cars. On the other hand, Wa Metlholo is a song I am dedicating to God. I praise God for having protected and cared for me all these years,” he said.

Angela is a song that is praising a beautiful woman he has fallen in love with. He appreciates her beauty. Miraclo, a song that has adopted the Zambian style is an appreciation song where Skupu appreciates his girlfriend’s love and the way she respects and treats him. On the other hand, Wa Nkolota, tells the person that owes him that he or she cannot lead a glamorous life or marry whilst failing to pay him.  The artist therefore is reminding that person to pay him back.

Meanwhile, despite his previous albums not making it as he expected, the young artist from Mahalapye said that passion drove him not to give up on his music career.  He told Showbiz that his journey started in 1997 when he was part of Kwaito Weapons, a group that was later transformed into Mmantshwabisi.

He said at the time, they were hired dancers. He said he later joined a group called Newcomers that was based in Mahalapye.  Unfortunately, the group did not make any mark in the industry.

“In 2004 I registered my own brand, Skupu and joined Eric Ramco Records where I featured in some of the renown artists such as Eskimos in their song My Baby and Matsieng in their song Khudutlou from Setswana Sa Bo Rre album.  In 2007 I recorded my first album Kgalemela,” he said.

Skupu who also writes most of his songs said Kgalemela had 14 tracks. However, his hard work did not pay off, as the album did not go far in the market.  That did not demoralise him because later in 2010 he recorded his second album titled Dirente Tsa Gaborone, which gave him the spotlight he was looking for. The album earned him popularity becoming a favourite in the airwaves more especially on RB1.

That gave him morale and he was inspired to release his second album in 2012 called Combi Man. Like the second album, it had good reception.  In 2015, Skupu released Mama, which gained also popularity.  Despite being known, the albums did not benefit Skupu as he hoped they would.

However, these challenges did not bring Skupu down as he is more determined not to rest until he has made a mark in the music industry. The young man who has moved from kwaito to Afro-kwasa took these challenges as a lesson.  His new album is much better and has shown great vocal growth and beats.

Weekend is a fun song that creates hype.  He wrote all of his songs.  The songs were recorded at KK Productions in Gabane.  This album can be found at Ko-Setlhareng.com in the Main Mall and the Gaborone bus station. It will soon be distributed at various shopping outlets in Mahalapye and the rest of the northern part of the country.
