BHC Renovates PPH Children's Ward

BHC chief executive officer, Reginald Motswaiso recently handed over the P75,000 renovated paediatric ward and the new playing area to the hospital authority.

The ward has received a facelift with pacifying colours incorporated with cartoon characters.  Along with the jungle gym and the redecorated facility, Motswaiso donated some indispensable children’s medical and edutainment equipment, and Christmas gifts.

Motswaiso said through the project BHC was demonstrating its caring spirit as a good corporate citizen inspired by hope and the need to bridge the gap between being home and the experiences of the hospital for young ones, especially during festive times.

“Giving is healing and the occasion today can only be equated to sowing acres of love. Our intention is to bring joy and happiness to the hospitalised children as well as to soothe their feelings and to enhance their healing process,” he said.

He noted that the corporation had undertaken a number of initiatives of similar magnitude across the country with particular focus on paediatric wards for one reason - caring for children.
