Dance earns Mmangaka international kudos

One of the videos where she was showing off her booty recently went viral on different social media platforms even across borders.

Tumagole said after successfully completing training with GabzFM she was later offered a late night show where she works four nights per week. She co-hosted Ghumba Fire with one of the renowned radio presenters, Comfort Ramatebele also known as Big Fish.

“I figured that since it had been a while since GabzFM had a show from midnight to 4am Mondays to Thursdays, I had to lure listeners in to my show. I posted a dance video of myself in the studio that went viral. It hit 10 million views on the first week and some of the big names that shared it are Somizi, Dr Malinga and Vetkuk vs Mahoota,” she said proudly.

She added that on the video, she mentioned that she was a radio host for GabzFM and does Uncensored where she also gave her show times. Her listenership grew.

A few months later, her colleague Bobby Majest who is a Nigerian artist asked to do a video with her where they were dancing to a Nigerian song in studio during his show and she agreed. The video is now sitting on 30 million views. Tumagole says the videos also gave her mileage. She got the Ghana’s Got Talent invite because of the videos. She said the event coordinators after watching her videos checked on her profile on social media, and realised that she worked for a radio station.

They listened to her shows and later invited her to be a guest judge at the talent search competition, Ghana’s Got Talent that is scheduled to air in the first quarter of 2019.

“I am the only guest judge from Southern Africa and it gives me such a rush that I am entrusted with such a role in West Africa. All the same, a young man in the entertainment industry in Kuruman, Northern Cape (SA) called Mo Makatong contacted me to do 30 seconds promo videos for their show that is to be held on December 22, 2018.”

“It is a welcome festival. I did the video. They posted it on their pages and it grew big. Next thing I knew, Sho Madjozi the Huku hitmaker was sharing the video asking about me, Pearl Thusi and Zodwa waBantu also asked about me,” she said.

She said when Mo Makatong saw all the feedback, he then asked to meet her at the event. She admitted that she could not believe that a one-minute video could get her that far. The Kuruman event will be headlined by Dj Tira, Holly Rey, Shimza and Sho Majozi.

However, she explained that the downside of those videos and their massive blow up on the internet is that they ended her relationship with her insecure ex-boyfriend who got jealous of the comments made by fans on her pictures on social media. That made her decide to build her career before she could date again.
